Warsaw University of Technology is a public technical university, and is one of the oldest technical schools in Europe and in Poland. Its traditions date back to 1826 considered to be the date of establishing technical education in Warsaw. On November 15th, 1915, the University started to operate under its current name: Warsaw University of Technology. The University is a higher education institution in line with the Act of 20 July 2018 The Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668 with later amendments).
